(99-35)  EASTEP - WEAVER - SWANER:
Elizabeth EASTEP married a WEAVER man around 1805?  Their son Ezekial had a son John WEAVER, born c1827, who married Mary SWANER on 13 Dec 1849 in Lincoln Co., TN.  The marriage was performed by John WEAVER, MOG (possibly uncle).  Elizabeth was said to be a Cherokee.  Cannot find a record of this EASTEP / WEAVER union anywhere.  Have found many Elizabeth EASTEPs in all ages from AL to OK in all census years.  Please help if you can.

(99-36)  ESTEP - WOODS - CHASTEAD (SHASTID):
Seeking information on my great great grandmother Elisabeth ESTEP, born 1 Jun 1839 in Gaither, Boone Co., AR, who married William WOODS on 4 Nov 1855 in Popular Bluff, MO.  Her father, Eli Cleveland ESTEP, married her mother, Rachel CHASTEAD (SHASTID), on 15 Jul 1827 in Sangamon Co., IL.  Elizabeth reportedly was one of the 11 children.  I would appreciate as much information as possible concerning this family.  Thank you.

[Pages 129-130 of the Estep book by Vidal, et al, shows the children of Eli Cleveland Estep by his first wife, Rachel CHASTEAD, as Elijah, John, Samuel, Tempy MIDDLETON, Elizabeth WOOD, Nancy, Francis (m), Rachel SALYER and Rebecca.  The children by his second wife, Elizabeth TUCKER, were Eli Cleveland, Enoch, Martha Emmeline VAUGHT, Mary Ann NETHERTON, Catherine BOWMAN and William S.]

(99-38)  ESTEP - WILLIAMS - LANE:
Looking for the family of Nancy Jane ESTEP, who was born about 1850/1860 probably in Madison Co., AR or San Saba Co., TX.  Family history says everyone knew her as "Annie."  She married Miles WILLIAMS 14 May 1883 in San Saba Co., TX.  Miles was born 1855 in Madison Co., AR and went to TX when he was young. He married Annie there and their five kids were born:  George Wiley (b. 1884), Samuel Jackson (b. 1885), Ragan Perry (b. 1887 - d. 6 mos.), Henry Franklin (b. 1888), and William Cleveland (b. 1892 - d. 3 mos.).  Nancy Jane ESTEP died 20 Nov 1892, and Miles went back to Madison Co., AR as a widower where he married Lucy Ann LANE in 1894.  He had seven more children with Lucy.  Would appreciate any help.

[There is a marriage listing for Nannie ESTEP to Miles WILLIAMS on 6 Sep 1883 in San Saba Co., TX [B:161].  Nancy Jane "Nannie" ESTEP is likely from the family of Eli Cleveland ESTEP of Madison Co., AR.  Several of Eli's family moved to San Saba Co., TX.  Additional research by Cheron showed a 16 year old Nancy in the household of Samuel (age 46) and Jane ESTEP on 1880 San Saba Co., TX census.  Samuel married Mrs. Jane DIAL on 7 Sep 1873 in San Saba Co. [A:236] and Jane would be his second wife (and not the mother of Nancy).]
[Note by Cheron Gibson, 24 Jul 04:  I have come a long way on this research, including obtaining Nancy Jane "Nannie" Estep's family Bible.  She is definitely the daughter of Samuel Houston Estep and Nancy E. Montgomery, granddaughter of Eli Cleveland Estep and Rachel Chastead.]

(99-39)  ESTEP:
