(06-05) EASTEP - McALISTER - PERKINS:
This URL is for information on John Taylor EASTEP (1872 AR - 1908 AR), my first hit on the name. John T. Eastep's wife was Rosie Moriah McALISTER. I believe this information came from a history of Graves County, KY book done by the families. The other link from this one to Worden A. Perkins lists my father Larry Dew Perkins as Larry Deu Perkins and that is an error in the book. I hit this link on Lycos search engine.
(06-06) ESTEP - BLEVINS:
I have an Ida ESTEP that came from KY at age 13 to WV. She ran away from home and married here in Charleston, Kanawha Co. area or Gauley Bridge, Fayette area. She married a Taylor BLEVINS and they had a child, Grace, in 1904. She would be at least 16 years old by then. Ida died in childbirth of a son who also died. She and Taylor were living at Gauley Bridge when she died. She was buried in Broundland, Kanawha Co., WV cemetery. When the father of Grace wanted to tell her about the ESTEPs, she told him that they had not been a part of the family or came looking for her or her mother Ida that she did not want to know. The grandchildren, etc., want to find out about them now. Can you help? I know it is vague but it's all I have. Thanks!

(06-11) ESTEPP:
I had a father whose name was Chester Beryl ESTEPP. My birth certificate said he was born in Louisville, KY but I have not been able to find him in the census records. He was born in 1907. He married my mother in ID and she never met any of his family. I found a death record of a Chester Beryl ESTEPP in CA. I am not sure it is the same man. His Social Security Card was issued in ID but the birth date is a little different. I am trying to find a link to his family. I found a census record in WV that shows a Chester in the family. He had a brother named Roy. He served in the Army in WWII. Do you have any suggestions or web sites that might help me on my search? Thank you.
(06-12) ESTEP - ESSTEP - RICHMOND:
In the 1920 Fayette County, WV, census is the following entry:
1920 census, Fayette County, WV; Boomer Precinct; dwelling/family #204/204:

Florence, wife, 18, born Kentucky
Gertrude, daughter, 8/12, born WV
RICHMOND, O.W., boarder, 43, single, miner, born WV
The surname is not legible but appears to possibly be ESSTEP. Can anyone shed any light on this family? In the 1930 census the head of household is gone and Florence is married to the O.W. Richmond who is a boarder in the 1920 entry (he was Oliver Watson Richmond). Any help appreciated.
