(04-02)  ESTEP - BRINKLEY - MOBBS - PALMER:
I am looking for the father of Samuel W. ESTEP (30 Mar 1884 - ?) who married Sarah A. BRINKLEY (b. 15 Sep 1845).  Was it James M. ESTEP who married Sarah A. ESTEP?  James had a son named Samuel W., but don't know the child's birth date.  If this is his son, I have Samuel W.'s son and children.  This research is for my mother-in-law who I think was Samuel W.'s granddaughter.  She is 90 yrs. old and the only living child of Samuel Lorenza ESTEP (20 May 1876 - 4 Feb. 1969) who married Amanda Caldonia MOBBS (13 Sep 1879 Hazen, AR - 1936 Greenbrier, AR).  According to the newspaper article, there were 1000 people at her funeral.
Additional info by Mr. Bowie:  There are two cemeteries in Faulkner Co., AR that have ESTEP graves.  The first one is the Estep Family Cemetery in Greenbrier, AR on the south side of town and east side of the highway.  Samuel W. ESTEP, his wife Sarah A. (BRINKLEY) ESTEP, his son Samuel Lorenza ESTEP and his wife Amanda Caldonia (MOBBS) ESTEP with their son known to the family as "Little Lee" are buried there.  Samuel Lorenza's son Harrison is buried beside his wife Dorthy (PALMER) ESTEP at Marcus Hill Cemetery at Enola, AR.  His younger son Sammy Eugene ESTEP is buried at Russell, AR where his widow still lives at the age of 92+.

(04-12)  ESTOP - PODMORE - ESTEP:
I have traced backwards thru my ancestors, to John ESTOP b. before 1553 in Shropshire, England, had a son Edmund b. 1573, and married Margery PODMORE.  I was always told that I am of German descent.  Is it possible that the above ancestors really migrated from Germany to England?  The first ancestor I have discovered in the new world, Richard ESTEP b. 1668.  His father was (above) John.  John's father was Edmund.  At the time of immigration, was England the principal port of departure?  I would like to continue the search for ancestors in Germany, any ideas where to look?  Thank you for help.
